On February 8th, 2025, we hosted a graduation ceremony, with Nairobits, our partner organisation, to celebrate the achievements of teachers and students from the Kibera slums in Nairobi, who recently completed our TCSP and iCSP computer science programs (for more information about the programs, please see our previous article). The ceremony was held at Kibera Secondary School, bringing together 106 attendees, including the program participants, faculty members, and school board members.
The event featured inspiring speeches from our operations coordinator, Mr Afzal, the executive director of Nairobits, the principal of the school, and our program participants, who shared their course experiences and how they intended to use their newly acquired digital knowledge and skills to create new career possibilities.
